Thirty-Year old Aaron Ackah who was arrested last Saturday at the Aldersgate Methodist Church at West Anaji in the Sekondi/Takoradi metropolis while tying the knot with his fiancée has been remanded into prison custody.
A  Prestea Magistrate Court in the Western Region presided over Mr. Frank Nii Ashitey, did not take the plea of the accused but remanded him to enable the police continue with their investigations.
He is to re-appear before the court on May 3, 2016.
The suspect according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Timothy Dassah, was however scheduled to re-appear before the same court in another alleged robbery case.
Ackah and  an accomplice, Kwame Attah were  alleged to have attacked and robbed a Chinese national of his mobile phone and cash after threatening him with a machete at Aniamote, a village near Bogoso in the Western Region, on March 30, 2016
But last Saturday midway into his wedding ceremony, he was arrested by police resulting in the sudden collapse of his bride.
Other guests in the ensuing melee fled the church premises in order not to partake in the disgrace that had descended on the celebrations.
