PHOTOS of Bukom Banku and his 5 Wives

Bukom_Banku_479598809-600x440

We can not speak to the exact number of wives Bukom Banku has as of now, however, these are the few times he showed some of them. We are looking at five women at the moment because Banku keeps stepping up his game.

This particular wife of Banku is a fetish priest. She was in traditional incarceration in the sacred forest at Bortianor, near Accra for over the past four months in 2014. She took tutorials and final initiation into the fetish priesthood and was out-doored and commissioned to begin full work as fetish priestess around same time. NsromaMedia.Com gathered that this is his fetish priest wife:
When she came back from the incarceration, this was what Banku said:
I’m delighted because of all the problems I’ve gone through since she left, I’m delighted that finally my wife is coming and I know the powers will come plenty. From now on, any opponent that comes near me for a fight I will use my wife’s powers to kill him in the ring.
I am, therefore, begging the promoter of my upcoming fight, McDon Atitsogbe to bring coffin and ambulance to ringside because what is going to happen to John Napari is untold. I will beat him.
If you’d remember, Banku was in Police custody recently for beating up one of his wives. It was this one, Stella. After beating her up, this was what he said on Asempa FM:
“I promise on my honour that I would never fight outside the ring or beat my wife again…let the police arrest me if I do that again…I have been advised on how to manage my anger now
This is the same wife that he claims is making him bleach.
“My wife advised me. My Wife is Stella Dogbe. I took her advise because she is my wife. We are all bleaching our bodies”.
Before the Ayittey Powers bout in Kumasi last year, we noticed that Banku introduced three women who accompanied him as his wives.
“This is our car, this is the car for me and my wives, yes these are my three wives,”

50 Landlords in Wa Before Court For Failing to Provide Toilet Facilities

Fifty (50) Landlords within the Wa Municipality in the Upper West Region face prosecution for failing to provide household toilet facilities for tenants in their homes.
The landlords could be slapped with hefty fines and in some cases handed prison terms if found guilty of flouting the country’s sanitation laws according to officials of the Wa Municipal Assembly.
The latest action by the assembly is aimed at curbing the increasing spate of open defection that has engulfed various suburbs within the city with concerns raised by authorities over its health implications.
Mr. Issahaku Nuhu Putiaha the Chief Municipal Executive (MCE), who disclosed this during the launch of the 10th anniversary celebrations of Zoomlion Ghana, indicated that the assembly is committed to ensuring that sanitation in the area is taken seriously.
He therefore warned that his outfit will not hesitate to deal with people who flout any law on sanitation in the area explaining that it is in the interest of the residents themselves he is taking such drastic measures.
On the National Sanitation Day, Mr. Putiaha revealed that the assembly may resort to the use of minimal force as people are beginning to relax during the exercise.
“As a means of ensuring that refuse dumping sites in the municipality are kept clean, the assembly has introduced the pay-as-you-dump policy. The pay-as-you-dump policy will help us pay people to ensure that our dumping sites are kept clean. We have introduced it at Kpaguri Tuonuni and the result is encouraging”, he explained.
The MCE thanked Zoomlion Ghana for partnering with the assembly to keep the area clean. He praised them for picking 40 refuse containers instead of the 30 agreed with the assembly.

Ghana Police wants 'wee' legalised

The Drug Law Enforcement Unit of the Ghana Police has called for decriminalisation of cannabis, popularly referred to as 'Wee', to help in fight against the abuse of the narcotic drug in the country.
The Head of the Unit, David Selom Hukportie told TV3 “we also need to look at decriminalisation and here, I want to reiterate what Mr. Akrasi Sarpong said.
“Many people misunderstood him but when you look at the situation and you want law enforcement to tackle it without the criminal justice coming in to help it, it will be a problem.”

The Unit has between January and February this year recorded 32 cases with Ashanti Region leading the chart with 28 cases.

In the Regional Drug Auditing table available at the Unit, cannabis has been leading the chart for the past three years.

In 2014, 188 cases were recorded across the country. The figure increased to 298 in 2015 with Ashanti Region leading with 143 cases.

Most of the discussions in the public have all been based on moral justification and exaggeration of the effects of the marijuana with scientific evidence thrown out of the window.

A security expert, Emmanuel Kotin, the debate should be looked at beyond morals and effects.

He indicated that “the drug issue has moved away from being a problem to being a real security issue. We seem to neglect the spillover of this drug issues on our human capital, our social infrastructure and our productive national asset.”

In an effort to solve the myriad of challenges confronting the state in battling the fight, a lecturer at the department of Sociology School at the University of Ghana Dr.Samson Obed Appiah, said the issue should be tackled at the community level.

He was of the view that “the locals in these communities should be looked at firstly from the point that they are involved in the production indirectly or encourage the production of the substance.

“This is also because young people get money and support the local economy so whether you like it or not it is a source of income for them so it would be difficult for the other persons in these communities to give out or report those involved in the growing, production or sale of the cannabis.”

He therefore calls on the law enforcement agencies to engage the traditional authorities in the fight to make it successful.

Return stolen assets, Nigeria’s Buhari tells Cameron

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday urged Britain to return assets stolen by corrupt officials in pointed remarks after Prime Minister David Cameron called his country “fantastically corrupt”.
“I am not going to demand any apology from anybody. What I am demanding is the return of the assets,” Buhari told an anti-corruption event in London.
He noted the case of Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, a former governor of oil-rich Bayelsa state who was detained in London on charges of money laundering in 2005, but skipped bail by disguising himself as a woman.
Alamieyeseigha, who died in Nigeria in October, left behind “his bank account and fixed assets, which Britain is prepared to hand over to us. This is what I’m asking for”, Buhari said.
“What would I do with an apology? I need something tangible,” he said at the event organised by the Commonwealth secretariat.
Cameron was asked during a parliamentary debate about measures to clamp down on corruption, particularly in the London property market.
“Action is necessary by developed countries as well as developing countries,” he said.
“The steps we are taking to make sure that foreign companies that own UK property have to declare who the beneficial owner is will be one of the ways we make sure that plundered money from African countries can’t be hidden in London.”
He also joked about his unguarded comments, telling MPs that “tips on diplomacy are useful, given the last 24 hours” and quipped that “first of all I had better check the microphone is on before speaking”.
Cameron is hosting a major anti-corruption summit on Thursday, which Buhari is attending alongside Afghan President Ashraf Ghani.
– ‘An old snapshot’ –
Ahead of the talks, Cameron was caught on camera telling Queen Elizabeth II that the leaders of some “fantastically corrupt” countries were attending, adding that Nigeria and Afghanistan were “possibly the two most corrupt countries in the world”.
A spokesman for Buhari said the comments were “embarrassing” and reflected “an old snapshot of Nigeria”.
Buhari has embarked on a widespread anti-corruption campaign since taking office last year, although his critics have accused him of a political witch hunt.
The president said corruption was a “hydra-headed monster” that was “endemic and systematic” in Nigeria, and thanked Britain for helping his country tackle it, including by arresting some former state governors accused of fraud.
But in general, “our experience has been that repatriation of corrupt proceeds is very tedious, time consuming, costly”, Buhari said.
Other Nigerian politicians were less forgiving about Cameron’s comments.
“I am taken aback. I am not happy about it,” said Chukwuka Utazi, chairman of the Senate committee on anti-corruption and financial crimes, who was attending the Commonwealth event.
“If there’s no market for stolen goods, then there would not be a thief. As long as the criminals steal, and Britain is ready to welcome them over here… it smacks of irresponsibility.”
– ‘Takes two to tango’ –
Senator Dino Melaye said he thought Cameron should apologise for his “reckless” and “demeaning” remarks, which were “insulting the integrity of my nation”.
“Nigeria, like many other countries across the globe, is corrupt, but corruption is a two-way traffic,” he said.
“The UK cannot continue to encourage and warehouse the proceeds of corruption and then accuse nations of being corrupt.”
Melaye, a public supporter of Senate president Bukola Saraki who is currently on trial for fraud, said the money involved “billions of pounds stolen from Nigeria, deposited in properties and cash in the UK”.
James Ibori, the former governor of the oil-rich Delta state who was acquitted in Nigeria on corruption charges but jailed in London for a similar offence, had owned six properties in London, according to anti-poverty group ONE.
These included a six-bedroom house with an indoor pool worth £3.28 million today (1.27 million euros, $4.73 million).
The properties have been seized but the proceeds have not yet been returned to Nigeria.
Jose Ugaz, chairman of global advocacy group Transparency International, told the Commonwealth event that Cameron’s comments had only told part of the story and there was a “complicit participation” on the part of developed countries.
“It takes two to tango,” he said.

Brazil’s Dilma Rousseff Impeached set to face trial

Brazil’s President Dilma Rousseff is to face trial after the Senate voted to impeach and suspend her.
Ms Rousseff is accused of illegally manipulating finances to hide a growing public deficit ahead of her re-election in 2014, which she denies.
Senators voted to suspend her by 55 votes to 22 after an all-night session that lasted more than 20 hours.
Vice-President Michel Temer will now assume the presidency while Ms Rousseff’s trial takes place.

The trial may last up to 180 days, which would mean Ms Rousseff would be suspended during the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, which start on 5 August.
Ms Rousseff made a last-ditch appeal to the Supreme Court to stop proceedings, but the move was rejected.
Ms Rousseff, who was first sworn into office in January 2011 and started a second term in 2015, has called the steps to remove her a “coup”.
In a speech at the end of the all-night Senate session, attorney general Jose Eduardo Cardozo said that the impeachment request did not have legal basis and that the opposition wanted to remove a democratically-elected president.
He said senators were condemning an “innocent woman” and that impeachment was a “historic injustice”.
